This was the second time I have been to the restaurant. The first time it has just opened and it was a little chaotic (understandable) - now it is super slick. The date night experience was really fun and the food was awesome! Would definitely go for the experience again. Parking on the street can be tricky - so arrive with plenty of time.

I have finally been to The Mounts for Sunday lunch. I’ve been looking forward to this for some time. It lived up to my expectations. I wanted both the soup and the scotch egg. The scotch egg won, and I'm coming back to try the soup. For mains, we went with Pork, Lamb, & beef. My beef was wonderful, and plenty of it. My stepfather had the lamb. He said it melted in his mouth. The freshly made mint sauce was outstanding. My mother had the pork, cooked perfectly with the best crackling. The cauliflower & cheese was great. All the veg complemented the dishes. I forgot to take a picture of the Scorch lemon margarita & Old-fashioned. The drinks and service were perfect. Thank you to all the staff.

First Look: The Mount – Henley In Arden After bagging a table for The Mount on launch day, it was lovely to see the buzz of diners walk in through the door. Spot a couple tables outside if you just want to sit and have a drink, alongside various sections of bar seating inside. Many congratulated Glynn on the new opening and there’s a good atmosphere, with diners eager to see what the future will hold for this new restaurant. The Mount has replaced what used to be The Butcher’s Social and the space is vibrant and welcoming. From first impressions, I can honestly say the meal was very, very good. I’ve been talking about the visit to so many people all week and really hope the team do well in that specific location. There’s a lot of passing trade & tourism in that area – so the key will be to ensure more people know about it. The food isn’t pretentious but is pricier than your average, bland restaurant you might otherwise find nearby. The Battered Fish and Chips is stunning - a must try!

Absolutely delightful experience at The Mount Gastropub. The food is consistently delicious – full of flavour and clearly made with care. The customer service is warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. That said, please do keep striving to elevate the hospitality even further – there’s always room to grow! The design is spot on – a lovely blend of old-world charm at the bar with a tasteful, modern flair in the restaurant. But the real gem? The garden. It’s a tranquil, beautifully kept space that’s perfect for a relaxed meal or drink – my personal favourite spot. A must-visit for anyone passing through or staying near Henley-in-Arden. I’ll be back very soon – thank you for being wonderfully consistent. Keep it up!

Been meaning to go for a while. Booked in for a saturday lunch, quiet when we got there but soon filled up. Serving team were friendly and attentive . Prices were a little on the higher side but this reflected the quality of the food. Had the chicken pie which was lovely. Enjoyed it so much that we've booked in again for boxing day lunch.

I can't believe it took me so long to visit The Mount, but I finally dined there last Saturday. First of all, a busy bar area as you enter giving a very friendly and happy atmosphere..Then a charming dining area to the rear, which was pleasantly busy for a cold day in January..On checking the menu, it was surprisingly inexpensive with a varied and interesting choice of food. A bottle of superb Chilean Merlot for around 25? Wow!! I had smoked salmon to start which was delicious. Then cod served on a bed of vegetables, perfectly cooked and tasty. Finally sticky toffee pudding which was tasty, light and with an amazing texture. Service throughout was both friendly and attentive. Times are tough in hospitality at the moment but every table was occupied . I think it speaks for itself!!! Well done Glynn Purnell. You have a terrific venue here. I thoroughly enjoyed my introduction to The Mount and can't wait to return very soon.
